After a couple of lazy days in the Town of 1770 we hopped on the Greyhound down to Hervey Bay. There isn't much to do in hervey but is the main place people come to to get to Fraser island. Our trip had to be put off slightly because of the rugby so we ended up having a couple of extra nights and watching the rugby semi-final at 5am in the hostel kitchen. Since our last update we have been busy bees! We had 2 days in Mission beach which were pretty chilled. The first day the weather was pretty rubbish so there wasn't much that we could do there than hang around the hostel, the second day the weather was a lot nicer so we hit the beach which was just across from the hostel. We arrived in Cairns on the tuesday evening after our 12 our bus ride through the outback. We returned to Gillligans, the hostel we stayed in the last time we were here and got a bargin dorm bed for $20 a night. The hostel was really busy as there were 9 football teams all on there end season tours - sounds like heaven but it really wasnt!!! After our 7 week working stint in the outback we are now back to being ladies of leisure! We have decided that working doesn't agree with us so have returned to what we know and do best - partying and soaking up the sun! The past few weeks have flown by as we've been working two jobs 7 days a week.
