Spent 2 days in Parati and enjoyed a boat trip round the islands where you could dive of the boat and go and explore. In the evenings went out to sample the local nightlife which rarely starts before midnight and the local drink of caiparinhi (suger cane rum). From Parati continued to head south stopping in a few smaller towns including Pellegrini before reaching the town of Foz right on the border with Argentina.

Been enjoying my last few days in Rio as leaving tomorrow for Parati, heading south, on the way to Igassu Falls. Visited Christ's monument over looking Rio and a very clear day so amazing views. Last night went on a habour cruise in the bay and saw the sunset over Rio. Carnival has been fanastic experience and would high recommend! Best wishes to everyone. Bx
