So next morning we left sukhothai and got the public bus to lampang, this took 4 hours but buses were quite comfy so all was good! We were picked up by our new best friend the songthaew when we arrived in lampang and taken to our guesthouse. Wasn't dreading this one as much as didn't really think it could get any worse than the previous 2 nights (saying that we didnt sleep too bad) but it was!!! We were staying in some thai house, the rooms didnt really have proper doors, there were no beds and we had the NOISIEST fan ever! Sooo annoying! By this point it was just funny though and all part of the experience!!!
We had dinner-noodles this time! How adventurous! None of the activities that day were that good so we all headed to the herbal centre for another massage. We let everyone go first so by the time it got to us and canadian no.1 they had no spaces left-we were not happy! In the end our group leader took us 3 on an exclusive tour of the fascinating town which was lampang!! We stopped at the handicraft centre where all their products were made out of cocunut and bought a few souveniers. Then we saw a traditional lampang-style house before heading to the markets! Here we learnt the chicken is the symbol of lampang-bet you didn't know that!!
Once we'd picked up the pampered group it was off to the night market and then for tea at a riverside cafe. The setting was really nice and it had a live band playing english tunes all night wuhooo!!! And it sold western food...steak was just what the doctor ordered!! Was a really nice evening! Althoughh that night i got noooooooooo sleep at all thanks to the bloody fan, i tried everything (earplugs are pants mother!!) so was not a happy bunny and glad we only had one night there!!! Next day elephants hehe!!
