Hotel Transfer

The transfer from the hotel to the cruise ship was totally seamless, the best we have ever experienced. It was quite funny though, we walked into the holding room in the hotel, waiting to be called out to the coached.....it looked like we had walked into an old people's convention lol. They were all nudging each other to look at us as we walked past them to the veryyyyy back of the room. I don't know why cruises seem to appeal more to the older folk....but it's one if the reasons we love them.

A brilliant old couple got chatting to us as we waited, commenting first on our ages and then moving on to telling us about themselves. Turned out, both were retired limnologists. The man, we didn't get their names yet, was a lecturer at LSU and retired a few years ago, and his wife was a hands on scientist who had studied the oceans and freshwater rivers for thirty or more years. They were from Louisiana and were both so interesting to listen to. We were a bit gutted when we got called to the coach before them. We will try to look out for them on the ship and get their names. It is highly likely they will spot us first though lol. We do kinda stand out!
