After staying in the remote Village of Arthur's Pass, not only did we see very few people, we happened to bump into someone From Harwich... what are the bloody chances! Gav came running back from the cafe looking like he'd pooed his pants and declared he had recognised a guy from Harwich. I told him to stop being ridiculous, but unfortunately he was right. It turns out Harwichites do leave the shire every now and then. :-)
Once we parted with our stylish Nissan Sunny, we reverted back to public transport and that included booking our lift to the airport for 3am the following morning. Eurgh! We arrived back in Sydney to a bootiful day so we decided to head to Bondi beach. Just so happens there was an Austalian surf competition on so it was heaving. Lots of hunks in trunks for me and Gav quietly sat with his sunglasses on watching the surfers because all the women were fat and ugly, obviously. The Ozzies love a good pair of boardies, beads, and thongs (flip-flops). Ahhh, luckily me and Gav are fashion gurus so we fit right in. Gav's Matalan shorts are going down a treat.
The following day we headed inland to the Blue Mountains where we had booked a hostel, well I had. It was like going back in time. It smelt musty and the place generally freaked me out. We had to ask for the kitchen to be opened, which led into the dining room. It could seat around 50 people, there was a stage, glockenspiel and piano so Gav could perform some cabaret whilst the other guests ate. However, there were no other bloody guests, we were the only tossers there! Mugs!
Couldn't wait to get out in the morning, so off we headed to the mountains which were amazing. They weren't very blue as the humidity wasn't right for the eucalyptus trees to release their haze, but the views were still awesome. After travelling back to the city we decided to fly to Byron Bay, mainly to cut out some of the travelling time, Oz is freaking mossive.
Byron Bay is wonderful - a proper surfy town with a great beach and lots of excellent places to eat and relax. I saw a school of dolphins swimming along the tide whilst I was lying on the beach. Gav missed them because he was too busy hiking up hills!
We're currently in Brisbane staying with some of Gav's friends, Ian and Selena. They've been wonderful hosts and their house is lovely. We'll rest and recuperate here and then move onto Noosa over the weekend. Before that though, we're going to head up to Steve Irwin's zoo to checkout some crocs and dingos! :-)
Love to all the b*****s, I mean bloggers back home.
Lau & Gav (pronounced Geven by the Ozzies!)
PS - Sorry, no photo updates yet. We'll try to get some more on soon.

Kirsty This is fab!! You're going to love the Zoo - everyone walks around saying "Crikey"
Dad Is it just me but I need to know who the Harwichite is? Come on guys come clean.
Gav Haha. It was James Leeks (about my age). He actually lives in London now but he often plays for the Rugby Club at the Wrabness Tournament.
