Retired & Traveling
There's a boat you can take here that goes to the National Park of Calanques, which is French for Creeks. We bought some tickets and away we went. The word is a little misleading, because it's more like canyons or rock formations, not creeks. But maybe if we could've understood the narration (in French of course, no English version available--boo!), we would've gotten why they call it creeks. In any case, it was a beautiful day and the seas were calm, and the views were gorgeous. It was fun to see the whole of Marseille from the water. We got great seats and had perfect views the whole trip. I think it was about 2 1/2 hours, but only cause the driver went at a snail's pace. LOL Once we were back in port, we went to the open air market and bought some fresh prawns, cherries and watermelon. We caught the Tram home instead of the subway for a change, you are above ground on the Tram, not the case on the subway. I wish I could bottle this weather and share it with y'all back home!!
