Geraldine invited us in for breakfast in the morning, so we were up at 6:00 am to get ready. A quick (and delicious) breakfast of eggs, toast, and bacon, and Geraldine was off taking her kids to school and going off to work. Barbara and I packed up and hit the road west.
A little before noon, we stopped at a rest area on I-20 for lunch. After eating, I lay down on the couch and fell asleep for an hour. I didn’t feel too bad, though, because I found Barbara asleep in the bedroom.
We’re officially on our way home, now. I expect we’ll be home sometime next week.
