Dan Yeah, the tree color moves south throughout the fall, followed shortly by the hords or northerners heading for warmer climats.

belinda It's too bad you're missing Louisville (KY)... I thought that was a great city and would have loved to explore it more. Very cool downtown and old town (??) where the nice houses are. Good eats there, too.

laurel so, i got my laughs for the day--thank you bill. your pics are great barbara. we were at natural bridge one year & stopped for gas & met up with this incredible appalacian,hillbilly couple with the front teeth missing, bib overalls, electric hair,etc. we could hardly understand them but it seemed they were interested in our rv. there was a gift shop there & i bought you the plaque of the tree you have in the living room. yes, all the fall & halloween decorations add to the charm of new england & the east. every year, we have been in campgrounds where they were celebrating halloween the weekend before the actual date; one time, we were in caanan,connecticut in the berkshire mtns., another the delaware water gap (kept us awake until the wee hours) & kentucky. we were lucky to even get a place to camp. we have been having wonderful fall weather every day. linnea is coming for an overnite today. still trying to catch up on everything--finished doing wash yesterday. next week, need to clean rv-ugh! love, l
