STATS
Departure: 10:10:00 AM, Palo Alto
Arrival: 7:00 PM, Fairplex KOA, Pomona, CA
Miles: 375 miles
Travel Time: 9 hrs.
Okay, I'm going for a Space Shuttle theme, here, but it might be getting a little too cutesy. I'm figuring that since we’re heading for Walt Disney World in Orlando, and we’ll be close to Cape Kennedy, it would work. Also, I find it ironic that the Space Shuttle actually gets better gas mileage than my RV.
Anyway, we got off at 10:10 this morning. Forgot a bunch of stuff. Good thing the rest of the country has stores.
We’re in Pomona at a KOA. (Whodathunk you’d find a KOA in Pomona?) Took us almost nine hours to drive 375 miles. That’s an average of about 2.3 miles per week. I need to find out where the gas peddle is.
Barbara drove today for about an hour. It was great. I was able to take a little nap. I don’t normally sleep half that long when I’m driving.
Tomorrow is Arizona. From Pomona to Arizona. (Sounds like a song that Harry James might have done.)

Jim wilkes It takes 1 million pounds of fuel to get the space shuttle off. The average gallin of gas weight is 5.56 lbs per gallon. It 2797 miles from Palo Alto to Orlando., so now instead of sleeping you can calculate the cost to get to Orland and actually calculate yor mpg. This will give you something to do rather than sleep. Oh yes the space shuttle launch for fuel is about $ 450,000,000. Now keep in mind that this is 61 miles. Also to get into space you have to travel at 17,400 mph. Does remind you of a high school math problem. Well i liok forward to your calculations. By the way if you need a slide rule to calculate this, i still have mine. Looking forward to your answer jim
Shannon Only mom would put ketsup on enchiladas... lol
JChan That's just mild, sweetened, chunk-free salsa.
JChan From the thumbnail, I thought, "I didn't know you're Jewish."
