We targeted 7:00 am to be out so that we could get ahead of the heat. We missed 7:00—left at 7:03. It was already fairly warm. I don't know what the temperature was, but as I was disconnecting the water this morning, a kid from three sites down came up to me and started roasting a marshmallow over the top of my head.

As we got farther west, the temperature went down. Not much, but down. When we pulled into Paso Robles nine hours later, the temperature was only in the low 90s.

We made reservations with a wine touring company in the area to go on a wine tasting tour tomorrow. We did this a year and a half ago on our return from our New England Color trip. It was fun then, and we’re looking forward to it again.

Almost at the end. We expect to be pulling into the driveway around mid-day on Thursday. I’m not sure if I remember how to turn the dishwasher on….
