On the road again!
Butno before a great walking tour by a local guide in Florence, who gave us information and so many things I dont know how she manages to remember anything else!
We saw at Palace where Leonardo Davinci and Michelango live, at the same time mind you, some great statues and their stories, museams, the rivier, shopping hot spots, temples and churches. It was very interesting and really showed us the essence of Florence. I think as a collective, the tour group found Florence so enjoyable because it seemed very safe too! No one selling stuipd little toys, no pick pockets and things like that. It was also very clean!
After a quick rest we went to a leather factory and had a leather workshop. They taught us how to tell real leather from fake, and how to create one of the most expensive jewelry boxes in the world. You know why? because all its made from is water and leather, no nails, staples or anything else holding it together!
BTW TIP - If you want to by any real leather from italy, the only ligit way to make sure its real is to rub two inner sides of the leather together. If they are sticky or dont rub its real leather, but, if you can easily rub them together! Uh oh!
After some lunch we piled back onto the bus for a quick three hour drive to ROMA!
Before we even got to the camp site we were off, for a walking tour of roma, However, it would be more appriate to say it was a walking tour of staring to the back of the tourists head in front of you!
However we did get to see the spanish steps, the Trevi fountain ( we threw in coins as you are suppose to - did you know it all goes to a homeless shelter?) the ancient ruins, the wedding cake ( some massive arse building which I forgot the name of!) and of course, the collssio - as they say here in italy! I also tried the most amazing icecream I have every eaten. It was like a moose and was flavoured as a profitter roll!
CRAZY
We then took the metro back to the campsite where we got a fantastic surpise, tonight we were staying in REAL beds, in CABINS YAY! The campsite itself was super cool. It had an amazing bar and pool and many many young people! Sadly, I was knackered to it was straight to bed for me! EVEn though it was toge party night again!
Anyway - did I mention tonight was my last night with Topdeck? Very upset!
