We have just arrived in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast which is just over an hours drive from Byron Bay but we have now crossed over from New South Wales into Queensland. OK, so we have just arrived at Byron Bay after a 3 hour drive from Coffs Harbour. Thankfully we now have some blue sky and sunshine as the weather has been pretty miserable the last couple of days. We left Katoomba at about 9:30 on Monday morning after the daily wake up call from the wild Cockatiels! When we first saw one of them in the campsite we assumed it was someones pet but it turned out there were dozens of them living in and around the campsite. It's pretty amazing seeing birds like that close up in the wild. We're now on the road with our camper van for a few weeks. Well, we've had a few days in Sydney now. Been a busy time and pretty tiring so not had much time to update the blog but WOW what an amazing city! There's loads of stuff going in the city as we've arrived in the middle of the Sydney festival and they are also hosting the Asia Cup.
