Hola from Espana! The first few days have been exciting and nerveracking to say the least! On the first day here in Barcelona, I got myself lost attempting to get to a meeting for my program. After about an hour of wandering and crying, a guy approached me and happened to be in my group looking for the same place... what a coincedence! We banded together, never found the place and ended up going home. We found my two new york friends from earlier in the day and we all decided to go find a place to eat and Luke (the guy who found me), invited his roommate Taylor to come with. When my roommate Mariella arrived later that evening, we all hung out and ended up meshing together so well. #thecrewbarcelona was formed! Lexi and Lo are from New York, Luke is from Washington but goes to UF, Taylor is from Michigan, and Mariella is from New Jersey. On Monday night we went out to a place where you pay 4 euros and you can pour your own mixed drink and started the tradition of "speeches" where every night a different member of the crew gives a speech and we all cheers. The next night we went to an Irish bar to watch the USA soccer game. The place was packed to capacity with a line around the block! (videos and pictures to come later) We yelled our hearts out and I took a very "texan" shot with a fellow ag! WHOOP! Then I got lost for two hours trying to get home... but it worked out eventually! Yesterday was my first day of class, to which I was extremely late due to getting lost AGAIN... but today is the second day of class and I am in a beginner language course with a very nice and patient teacher. She's hilarious too... she said a****** in class yesterday haha. Will update more frequently now that I'm set up here! Adios!
