Day three AM was spent exploring the great views and landscapes of the Dingle Peninsula, this provided arguably he best scenery we'd seen thus far on the trip. The town itself had a large amount of pubs and seafood options for lunch, while consistently touting one of it's main tourist attractions, Fungie the Dingle dolphin. Tours are promoted with a deal of 'money back guarantee if you don't see Fungie !'

It was around about this particular day that one of the more sickening events occurred on our tour bus. While doing the polite thing of offering others around her a handful of delicious breakfast cereal, Queenslander Tammie hadn't realised a band-aid she was using had become detached from her own toe. By some miracle, said band-aid had soon made it's way into the breakfast cereal and subsequently into the mouth of unsuspecting Melbournite Stacey. Lucky Stacey was such a forgiving soul ! (If you're reading , sorry Tammie !)

We arrived in Killarney in the afternoon , our home for the next two nights . Everyone passed on the idea of proper horse riding as an option in favour of a leisurely horse and cart tour through Killarney National Park. The fun nature of the Irish again shone here as our guide on the cart chose to, rather than talk much about the history and nature of the park, tell jokes and scare other people in the park by directing the horse directly at them and yelling 'Woah ! Woaaaahhhh !'

But all this Sunday there was a buzz in the air, the buzz being our new Dutch friend Thomas in anicipation of the World Cup final that night. Armed in his bright orange shirt, no man was more on edge at The Lough Inn, Killarney as the final played out. As we all know the match went to the Spaniards, and as we moved onto another pub to commiserate, it all became too much for Thomas as the new venue was brimming with Spanish supporters. But after switching shirts with an opposition supporter and having a half dozen very quick drinks, he was in perhaps the finest form of anyone on the tour ! With an any 3 drinks for 10 euro special, noone else was left far behind and one of the bigger nights of the tour was had by all.

Come the next morning there were a few sore heads and eyes hiding behind sunglasses despite the overcast weather. We took in more great Irish scenery around the Ring of Kerry with a lunch stop in Sneem along the way.The frequent stops to take photos of the many waterfalls, lakes and mountains was a favourite of a Brazilian lady on the tour. Although after having everyone else in the group take photos of her with each landmark at least 200 times, we were starting to hope her camera ran out of film/memory card space in the near future.

The second night in Killarney was a much quieter one, with supermarket dinners and early bed times for many after the previous nights fun.
