Hokey Pokey...That'sthe name of these nice biscuits we found the other day.
Anyway, back to the blog. This is probably our last blog from NZ as we are off to Fiji in 3 DAYS TIME!!!! Yes 3 days!! As you can tell, we're both quite excited by this and even more so now we have booked some accommodation. For those of you wondering, Laura did not come back with any broken bones from her white water rafting/sledging experience the other day(photos included) and by the sounds of things, she had a pretty good day....(in fact she hasn't stopped talking about it so that's fairly conclusive!) Photos of the sledging are on line but unfortunately, they muddled up the photos of her WW Rafting with someone elses so she's got a CD of some random strangers doing a WW raft! (Yeah, I know, I don't think she ACTUALLY did it either but she reckons she's getting the evidence posted to her)
Rotorua is about the smelliest place on earth! The sulphur smell (for those of you who are not scientists, is the most vile smelling fart you've ever been unfortunate enough to smell.....just like the one Mel G did in Sarah's house once!) and it was difficult to concentrate on anything else really. Lake Rotorua is very nice but we were afraid the smell might affect our cameras so we didn't get them out. How anyone can actually live there is a miracle. There was a massive storm the night before last (makes a change!) so we decided to come up to Tauranga and are meeting up with Emmanuelle Heatley and her husband, Linton this evening. I think Laura and I would both agree that Tauranga is the nicest place we have visited in NZ so the French are not really that silly after all.
So in our last 3 days left in NZ we have a day at a spa tomorrow for a massage then driving up to Auckland to meet a friend of ours from South Africa and spending our last 2 nights in Auckland, hoping to visit the froxen bar (-2 degrees?) before heading to the airport on Saturday morning.
Among the accommodation we have booked, we managed to get a week at Bounty Island in Fiji which is where they film celebrity Love Island so we're both looking forward to that. We are not sure exactly what the situation will be like for internet once out of Nadi (we can't imagine islands no bigger than a mile in diameter are too clued up on Wi Fi) so this may be the last blog for some time. We have just tried to put as many pictures as possible on the website too so even if you've seen a folder, there may be a few new photos or videos added.
So that's about it really. We are both due to fly home aroung mid March but between you and I, Laura is thinking of building herself a Bure on Bounty Island and getting a job as a scuba diving instructor so who knows when you may see her again! Our last stop after Fiji is LA but not sure how long we will stay there for. Ok, so bye for now.
This is our mobile no that we are hoping will work in Fiji +372 53251043
Take care,
Love Jo and Laura xxxxx
