On wards bound again, this time heading North to Chiang Mai from the last party island visited, Koh Phangan! Boat... Bus... Plane on this occasion.

Phangan proved to be a great few days, most importantly because the legendary Full Moon Party fell on my 29th birthday!

Arrived in Phangan after the other lads headed back to the UK. Booked into the Hadienda backpackers hostel and an 8 bed dorm to make sure we had the best chance of meeting a funny crowd to spend the days and nights with. As this was also the biggest hostel on the island, it would prove to be a funny place to be...

The days consisted of chilling, recouping and pottering about, the evenings seeing what Phangan had to office. Beach parties, bar parties and the Full Moon were all brilliant. Met a great group from our dorm so spent much of the time together which was good fun.

Standard for the Full Moon, luminous vests, beads and body paint and the standard SanSong buckets!

Also found a great hill top bar 'Amsterdam Bar' on the final day, chilled out with fellow backpackers lazily watching the sun from a the bar! Great end to the stay here..

Sonny officially earned himself the name of sloth... Making very few daylight hours outside of the dorm... The dorm had seen better days by the end of our stay, to say I used cleaner public toilets would be an understatement, all added to the fun and slimming it for the party thou...

Looking forward to the next leg of Thailand, Chiang Mai and Pai... Pai is a new place for me to visit and the North will offer a difference to the party islands of the South. Also looking forward to getting involved with the backpacker side of the trip where the South has many short trip holiday makers especially over Full Moon weeks..

Into July now and 1 month down!! Many more to come and look forward to though! ✌️
