Leaving Pai was the start of a crazy few days travelling into Laos.
First day was a 6 hour bus ride and a stop over in a motel more like a crumbling Victorian prison... Second and third saw a 2 day slow boat trip through Laos which ended up being the funniest few days of the trip so far!
A group of 13 or so stuck together from Thailand onwards, leaving the boat a complete party for 2 days. Drinking games, card games and parties though out....
Arriving in Luang Prabang the first night we hit the late bar in town, Utopia, funny end to a session that started on the boat at 9am...
Next day a hungover trip to some of the most famous waterfalls in South East Asia, amazing blue waters and pools you could wind the afternoon away in.
That night everyone hit the bowling alley, the latest bar in the area and bit surreal to think we were in a remote Laos town!
Interesting place, half with much Asian influence the other with influences from the colonial days of the French occupation.
Quick stop off as moving through Laos at some pace. Onwards to Vang Vieng and the legendary tubing!
Few more days to chill in Vang Vieng, then on to 4000 islands...
