After our hectic and exhausting week at Carnival we hopped on a bus, taxi and boat to the other side of the bay to a beach called Itacoatiara. We wanted some chill time before heading back to the UK.

The beach was beautiful and our hostel was really nice, it was basically a big house with a pool table, TV room and hammocks! Ben loves a good hammock.

We were herefor 10 days so it gave us lots of time to just lay on the beach. The sea was lovely and clear but the waves were MASSIVE. One day whilst cooling down in the sea, Sarah was attacked by a HUUUUGE wave and she ended up doing a Klinsman dive up onto the shore. The result of this was a severely sprained ankle and Ben had to carry her home. Luckily, a nice guy saw us struggling and gave her a backy on his bike back to the hostel.
