Back to BA and we are now staying on the Palermo Chico side of Buenos Aires (the posh side) on this side of town there are a a lot of parks and green spaces. Even the quality of the supermarkets here is different from the San Telmo side.
Buenos Aires is very very hot right now and the locals are saying it is the hottest it has been in 57 years.
So, being on this side of town we went and explored the parks and green areas and visited the japanese gardens. We also went to the planetarium but there wasn't any shows on at the time but it was just nice to be in an air conditioned space as it was so hot outside. Then we went to the Evita museum and learnt about her and Peron and all of the good things they did for Argentina at the time. When we got back to the hostel we were so tired but we couldn't sleep because of the heathumidity and the fact that downstairs people were having a party till 4am.
The next day we decided that the hostel wasn't for us and left and went to go back to San Telmo side of town and get a room that had air conditioning in the room. We went to get pizza from a famous pizzeria in the centre, they charge by the slice but the slices are so big that we could only eat 2 each and then we were full. We also went to get ice cream from Freddos a popular chain in Argentina, ice cream in Argentina is amazing wherever you go. Then we met our friend Alejandro and his gf Marina for sushi, Ben wasn't sure if he was going to like it. Turns out Ben loves it and because Alejandro goes there so often he got 20% off. It wad so hot that Ben's beard kept dripping, he did considerb shaving but then it started raining and the temperature just dropped from 34 and crazy humidity to 25 and a nice wind. The beard was luckynthis timr. After sushi we got some ice cream in the rain and then got the bus back to our hostel and Ben pushed Sarah into a big puddle and she got wet and angry. But even though it was raining it wasn't cold at all. Tomorrow, we are off to Mendoza the heart of wine making in Argentina.
