A note from Mumma Photo Pig - you will notice the photos have a very blue sky - these are not my photos coz I don't think Qld has a blue sky. These are just some photos I have put in so the kidlets have something to llok at!
Back to Ravey Davey!
Ahh we are off to the Gold Coast where the weather is perfect 365 days a year:
I was so happy to be heading off I penned a little song, in the key of C:
We are leaving the wet behind
Say goodbye to the damp
Wring out the kids we're off
Chorus
Hello sunny hello sunny
Gold Coast here we come!
We are going to a place
Where there is no mud
No puddles, no need for a laundry dryer!
Chorus
Cannot wait sun, sand and surf
Dry tents, dry beds and dry eyes
No more grumpies (dad particularly)
Ohh bring on the sun!
It seems that the Gold Coasts idea of perfect weather is rain by the bucket load. There we were all huddled in the only dry corner of tent taking turns to have the dry patch as bucket after bucket crashes on to the tent, there is a lot to be said for brick and tileThe creek next door is getting mighty high as well.
I would just like to say hi to Rama and Monty (the eight foot python) lovely to meet you.Good news Monty, the third degree burns are healing well. Thanks for your positive comments I wasn't sure how you would take the last blog.
Factoid: Did you know that Queensland considers itself the sunshine state! Its says so on all of the number plates, I am sure we will see it eventually.
Well the majority of the Hughes family are ready! At least three family members are ready for the theme parks and are chafing at the bit to get to the big six and the huge three.Whoppie lets go!!!
This is tough and scary stuff:
The Big Six
The Giant Drop - you are raised and dropped 119 metres (39 stories)
The Tower of Terror - you are accelerated to 160 kms in three seconds and launched up a tower backwards
The Claw - get strapped in for a nine story ride swinging face first towards the ground
The Wipe Out - similar to the Claw except for being up side down a lot.
Motocoaster - roller coaster on bikes
Cyclone - just a roller coaster
The Huge Three
Sponge Bob Flypants - get hung by your feet and spun until all the blood has drained from your head.
Rosie's Teacup ride - hop in a tea cup and get spun at huge speeds until all participants have been flung out.
Wiggles hall of horror - get strapped in and see how many wiggles songs you can handle before passing out.
Then its time for White Water World and we can expect much screaming and crying as we tumble out of control down huge water slides, we will be lucky to get out alive!

DaviesRoadDiva Hiya, as usual it's midnight & baby Asher is tucked up & snoring in the bottom register....Sorry boyz he will eventually get time to take a peek at your antics again soon! Seems you Bunnies are turning into Frogs-some of the above"attractions" sound suspiciously like Wet 'n Wild rides! All those gentle "G" Forces massaging them thar lymphs-sounds Sublime! Good night Froggies, The Disheveled & slightly Ditsy Diva! xxx
The G-E bunch Ewww. I hope all that was fun (the spin/fall/fling type stuff), because it sounds awful to me. I'd rather stay on the ground, thank you. Oh, but I thought the song was rather cool. (Mamma G) I have no idea what Mamma is talking about! That sounds extremely fun!! Why couldn't you bring me along? (No need to answer this question) I hope you are having a great time, from 4G hi its me 3G i know you miss me but i guess you'll have to live with it. I'd love to be you - well, maybe with you, for the fun bits. say hi to every one you meet for me and I really don't like your song (: . So um seeya. We have a pet chicken living in the house at the moment, much to James' disgust. It has a hurt leg. It thinks we are its mum now, and gets sad when we leave it alone. We haven't named it yet. James says we will need to find it a good home eventually, as it is most likely a boy and we won't be able to chop its head off after making it a pet. I like finding bugs for it to eat. I think I am part chook. (Mamma G)
