Day 1

Left home as planned at 0510 hours and had a great trip until south of Moree.
Then it was nothing but holdup and traffic chaos due to roadworks. Consequently we when we arrived at Walgett all the free campsites were taken so we had to go on to Coonamble which was almost another 2 hours. There we stayed in a caravan park for the night and pulled out early the next day after a good night and well earned sleep.

Day 2 Saw us on our way to Wilicanna , another long day's drive but plesent enough. All the free camps along the way looked a bit dodgy as far as security went so we picked another caravan park on the banks of the Darling River which was very neat and tidy. An enjoyable stay.

Day 3 was an early departure as well but the rain came with vengeance all the way to Peterborough and it didn't let up very often so by the time we arrived at or stop for the next couple of days it was not very plesent. It's not very much fun trying to set the van up when the rain is pouring of your hat and running down the back of your neck, but that's vanning I guess and if we want to see this big country we got to take the wet with the dry and the good with the bad.

Anyway we're here for a couple of days so that will give us time to catch our breath before we move on to the next leg of our trip.
