So, we're on the road. As I'm writing this, it's 7.30 in the morning. Today is Monday, and it's a public holiday here in South Australia.
C and I left home on Friday afternoon, and decided to drive to the Adelaide Hills to stay overnight with my parents for Friday and Saturday nights.
However, on arrival in the Adelaide Hills, we discovered our leisure batteries were depleted, and the 12 volt system was not operating. This is a serious issue because the fridge in Harvey operates on 12 volts when we're driving. We got the fridge going on gas, and left it on gas as we continued on our journey.
We are currently in Port Augusta, after a fairly leisurely drive from the Adelaide Hills. We saw some lovely salt flats, beautiful views of Spencer Gulf, and battled with crazy winds on the way here.
This morning, despite it being a public holiday, we are meeting up with an auto electrician here in Port Augusta. Hopefully he can fix the problem. C spent a while online last night chatting with other motorhome owners and thinks maybe he knows what the problem is. Fingers crossed.
