Today we did not have a very good day. It started great. We woke up and went for a swim at Park beach at Coffs Harbour -- it was wonderful! The water wasn't cold at all and the waves were great. We woke this morning early, so decided to go for a morning swim in the bay. Lisanne came too. The water was absolutely great - really warm! The waves were huge, but it was fun to swim in the wild water (see photo of Horseshoe Bay above). We left this morning at a reasonable time, and headed towards Port Macquarie. We'd read there were a few things to do there. Our first stop was at the Billabong Wildlife & Koala Park. This morning we got up after a good nights sleep, and went for a walk around the beach and up to the Nelson Head Heritage Lighthouse. Beautiful views and an interesting museum. Lisanne saw some more pelicans and kookaburras. Then back down to Harvey to pack up and head out of town. We didn't get very far however! This morning we woke after a night with torrential rain. Fortunately, Harvey survived intact, with no leaks to be found. Hopefully the work which was done yesterday did the job.
