Well, unfortunately this is our last full day in Oz !! So after a wonderful meal in the revolving tower high above Sydney, and a good room for the evening the girls are off shopping for final items and prezzies and us boys are off to Canberra for a visit to an old friend and his family who now live out here. After a good breakfast and a 3 hour drive we arrived in sunny Canberra and met up with "Sticky" ! We went for a drive round the 'Capital' , stopping at some lookout points and getting great photos. We then went for a look around the War memorial , and what a place ?? So much history to see and learn about it would take a week to get around !! Quick trip past the Government buildings and back to Sticky 's pad to meet the kids !! Initially shy but soon warmed up to us 'old guys' we went off to the local Rugby Club for something to eat and a beer or 3 .... Kids went off to play in a play zone and we got into some good food !! Rolled chicken breast coated in bread crumbs and covered in our favourite pizza topping, wow, great idea and great tasting !! Getting late so back home for the kids to go to bed. Trev & John went "camping" for the night leaving Paul and Paul to pull up a bollard and chat about old times !! Eventually it was morning and time to drive back to Sydney to get ready for the flight home to UK !! Goodbyes said, off we went and had a pleasant drive to John & Lis's !!
