We arrived at Vancouver on time and after breakfast patiently waited for our disembarkation. We booked for an airport transfer but we did not allow for the earlier arrival of another larger cruise ship with about 6000 passengers. Consequently there were not enough taxis or buses to meet the demand, for about 400 of us. We felt that we had been conned as the transfer cost 28 USD each and as we waited a freelancer was offering 15 CAN each. No one in the line was pleased. We waited in a line standing for 2 hours and just as we were despairing a bus arrived with a happy driver. He gave us a 45 minute commentary on Vancouver highlights as he drove to the airport. So I tipped him 5 dollars.
At the airport we caught up with a fellow cruise passenger (a Phoenix Resident) who somehow got through the transport line early but complained that she had to wait at the airport from 10.30 am doing nothing until she got the same flight as us. So who was better off?
