First day of our South East Asian Sunrise Tour began at home at Kookaburra cackle (3:45am!).
An easy drive down to Coolangatta International airport (OOL) against the commuter tide heading north to Brisbane for the start of another weary day at the office - yes, even at this time of the morning.
The only novelty of check-in was that Clive got a full body scan security check - Cheryl was too slow to catch the display.
The flight on Air Asia was the best possible type of flight - slept, woke up to eat the meal then slept again.
KL low cost terminal was Spartan but efficient and we shuttled the short distance to the Concorde Inn. What can we say? It was convenient. The highlight was the endless muzak loop playing all the old favoutites from the 50s re-interpreted on twanky chinese piano. We entertained ourselves guessing titles, including "house of the rising sun", "I did it my way" etc. if you didn't get it first go never mind it came around over and over and over again.
