hiya, not updated my blog recently for one reason....THE BLOODY WEATHER!!!!
when i was planning this trip i made sure i would be here in the high season, glorious sunshine everyday.what a shame climate change has to mess things up. there not supposed to get the monsoons till the end of april but they started the minute i left my bungalow to go to the fullmoon party on the next island. im a fair weather party goer nowadays so decide not to get the boat at the last minute because the rain was so bad and a fella said it had been raining all day on the party island as well, it turned out to be a wise decesion as the party boat got lost in the bad weather and instead of taking an hour and half it took over four hours!!!!!!
.
ended up staying on koh tao for a few more days and ended up in a bungalow right on the sea edge on some rocks. it was a long climb up and down but well worth it for the setting.with the weather still not great some one mentioned the half moon party which is on koh phan gang but in stead of on the beach its in the jungle.got the boat over found some digs and jumped in a taxi with two israelie lads and a dutch girl, got to the jungle and the place was amazing!they serve "buckets" which are actually little plastic buckets, but its what they put in them that make them so special., a half bottle of whiskey a can of coke and the local "red bull" which is a lot stronger than the red bull you get at home. next thing i now its 5.30am and iv had a great time as well as everybody else but time for bed. after a bit more teasing of the undercover thai police who kept asking if we want ecstacy. the island is nice and chilled out and the beaches are great it was just a pity the weather was still bad.i kept chacking the internet and all of thailand was being hit by the monsoon so i decided to head back to ban kruit and do the reflexology course after checking what people in the uk are charging!!
spent 10 blissfull days at the smoonpai resort where all the staff and teachers really looked after me and a place i will be going again before i head home.my visa was coming to an end so i jumped on the night sleeper train for 12 hours and got to had yai which is bandit country!!! muslim exstreamists have killed nearly 2000 people in the last couple of years and all the books say dont use the train as this is what they like to target, i slept like a baby all the way then hoped on a bus which has brought me to where i am now which is penang in malaysia. iv just had a massive chicken curry with veg a bottle of water and a cup of char for 80p.goodnight folks time for bed.
