sa wad de ka.
finally getting upto date, got the night ferry to koh tao for some scuba diving coz it is probably the cheapest place in the world to get your open water certificate, 140 pounds !!! with four nights accomodation.
first day spent in a classroom, half a day in a swimming pool then th big blue ocean!!!!
you get to do four reef dives which really get you hooked on diving. we saw turtles, angelfish ,trigger fish and NEMO!!!loads more that im not gona bore you with the names.i loved it so much and so did the rest of the group that we did the advanced course straight after.scotty the dive instructer was a top bloke and really let us have fun and made us all good divers, but the silly git crashed his motorbike so couldnt take us on the last two dives so his mate jason stepped in .i could write a book on the nine dives we did but that would get a bit boring but i just want to put on record the first 10 mins of the night dive we did.when diving you always dive in pairs with a "buddy", my buddy was farmer dan(see photos). we dive just as the sun sets and see all the fish that come out at night(well thats the plan). usually the visability is good but the night we dived there had been a bit of bad weather so if you stuck your arm out you couldn"t see your hand. you descend in pairs and meet up at the bottom. me and dan had gone down about 9meters when he decided to do a disapearing act., suddenly im on my own carnt see much and wondering what am i doing here. i carnt descibe the feeling but it was a cross between loneliness, excitment, anger and self presivation. after not a very long time i found the group and informed scotty we were a person short. he signalled to all surface and when we did there's dan. (he got lost). we are all know advanced divers and can dive to 30 meters.cheers scotty.
koh tao is beautiful so im gona have a rest for a week, tomorrow is the famous full moon party on the island next door so im gona pop over see what all the fuss is about and try a bit of fire dancing.
catch up soon x
