Crystal This sounds like you guys had a great trip!! The drive from Santa Cruz to SB isn't all that bad and if you have some good music and a companion is could be wildly entertaining! When I was young my best friend lived in Santa Cruz and I lived in Santa Barbara since we went to different colleges and we did this drive all the time to see one another, wasn't too bad at all! I miss Santa Barbara though, living there was awesome and nothing can beat going to UCSB! Now when I visit it's for short period of times and nothing like the time I used to have but it is still wonderful going! The Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com) is awesome if you want to save a ton of money and like comfortable room and board!

James Jones ONLY a month left?!?!? Thats plenty of time. Enjoy America; if you end up in San Fransisco I recommend the Green Tortoise hostel on Broadway and if you go to San Diego the USA hostel in downtown is really fun. Sorry I havent been in touch lately but I reckon I've done as much travelling around as you two have! Lots of love guys, travel safe and see you in a few months x
