Sara had arranged a meeting with Kirsty, our friend who moved to Australia couple of years ago so we caught a train to Wellington Point which is an hour east of Brisbane and we arrived at a cafe and waited for her to arrive.
Once she arrived, we all have a big catch up over lunch and we asked Kirsty loads of question about her life in Australia which lead to her offering us to visit her house.
We eagerly agreed and squeezed in her car for a ride to her home. The neighbourhood were virtually deserted. The children are still going to school (Their school holidays is in December/Jan) and the employment rate in Australia must be much higher than UK because no-one were at home or walking around the block.
So we arrived at her home, it was really massive, spotless and posh. There were even a Jacuzzi and swimming pool thrown in for the good measure though the current season mean the swimming pool doesn't look appealing at all. We decided on a DVD night in and ordered pizzas which cost only 6 dollars thanks to Kirsty's coupons. It was really relaxing to have a normal night in rather than heading out to sightseeing or cooking my own dinner. We went back to the hostel feeling refreshed.
