Today was the day that Sara and I get to sample the dosmetic life in Sydney starting by getting a bus out of the city.
The bus journey took about 45 minutes and it amazed me how big Sydney is, It is probably same size of both Nottingham and Derby including the A52 combined. Eventually we arrived at the train station and Peter was waiting with DJ and it were my first time meeting DJ so I was bit nervous but DJ was so bouncy and keep on saying his name and that Aunty Rachel was deaf which were sweet!
When we arrived at their house, it was awesome to see an Australian home and I feel as a result of having a traditional bungalow, the family can become more socialable due to the rooms being on the same floor. We had a thai takeaway (Sara even liked it!) and spent the night chatting and catching up on the news.
Eventually it was the time for us to go back to the city to meet up with the others at Darling Harbour which is a picturesque harbour with few boats being anchored. After a quick sight-seeing, it was time for us to get back to the hostel in preparation for Blue Mountains next day...

Rachael Hi Asher - I finally found your blog. It was nice to meet you and Sara and I hope you are all having a great time in Queensland. Ever since you left Sydney we've had glorious clear, blue skies with bright sun, so I felt so bad for you guys that you had such bad weather here. All that rain was highly unusual LOL! Hopefully you are getting sunsoaked up North.
sara oh no! knowing my luck it would be raining on the week we are in sydney! we both had a good time with you, peter and kids. have they bought something yet with 25 dollars each from us? x
