We made our departure from Shenzhen, a matter which were complicated by the fact that air conditioning in our room leaked overnight and drowned some of Ashley's stuff but we got half of our room fee back- a fact which delight me and my dry stuff!
We got a tube towards to Luo Wan which is an immigration point for the people entering Hong Kong, it were straightforward but bit of a pain in arse because we have to fill in loads of forms. Eventually we entered Hong Kong and catch a metro to our hotel. Note the word hotel not hostel...
The difference between China and Hong Kong is plausible soon as our metro speeded through Hong Kong, their roads are identical to our roads and the metro is very clean. We left the station and found our hotel quickly enough and our jaws dropped.
It looked every inch of five star hotel and we are only paying nine pounds per night! A doorman opened the doors and greeted us inside. We went to our room and for the first time this trip I am reunited with Sara while the boys had their own room and Charlene got the best deal as she had a double all to herself. We decided to explore Nathan Road which is adjacent to our hotel and is one of the most well-known road in Hong Kong. It is bit like Las Vegas with its brilliant neon lights and loads of adverts screaming out at you. The shops were open until late which an interesting indication of Hong Kong's lifestyle is. We had something to eat and after bit of exploring, we headed back to our hotel which we then discovered sauna, swimming room and steam room.
We then felt more like kings than a band of ragged travellers when we sank into our beds.
