This is going to be a short blog; yes I can hear you all readers cried "Why? your blogs is usually long and filled with humorous ancedatos, jokes and dodgy spellings" The reason is that I spent all of the day in my bed......in a train.
Today was the day that we catch a train to Shenzhen which takes 21 hours so basically I spent the day doing Sudoku really slowly (shrieking kids, distraction of my friends conversation and rapid diminishing mathemical skills even since I left school contributed), reading Michael McIntyre's autobiography which I frequently overheard Chinese people whispering " Is that my distant posh cousin or something" and eating heated noodles. The train have a cabinet of hot water which you can use to fill your noodles.
The train in the contrast to the first train were cramped with six beds per room with no door so there is not much privacy. Charlene,Ashley and Dom drew the short straws and had to sleep at the top bunks while Sara and I slept in the middle bunk. There is no room for sitting up straight so we had to conduct conversations either hunched in the bunks or sitting on the flipping chairs provided opposite of the bunks.
This is going to be last journey made by an overnight train and I can't wait for it to be over!
