We started the day with a meeting about booking a hostel in Shenzhen, our next stop. We booked it quickly enough and the boys headed out while the girls stayed in (Don't worry Peter, I locked Sara in her room to ensure her safety!) Today was easily my favourite day in Shanghai, even more so in absence of that annoying boy that I mentioned yesterday... We had a slow start, mainly due to the irresistible force of the hostel lounge but we managed to shake the temptations off and went to Yuanyuan gardens and bazaar. Bazaar is a sprawling network of shops selling many different things and it were wonderfully because it captured the authenticity of China compared to skyscrapers of yesterday....

We arrived in Shanghai eventually, we had to wait for our friend from England who is already travelling in China with his Chinese friends in blazing hot sun and we made a mistake of sitting near to sewerage but the uncomfortable wait was worth it soon as we met Neil and his Chinese buddies.
