We left auckland on the kiwi bus and headed for a little known location called cathdral cove. after a 30min walk down we finally reached an amazing beach. after staying there for a couple of hours we jumped back on the bus and headed for our overnight stop called whitianga. a small town located in the mercury islands. spent the night drinking with some guys from the bus at the hostal as there was nothing else to do. Up bright and early the next moning heading for Rotorua. we stopped off on the way at a place called paeroa, home of the famous L and P kiwi drink. we then went walked round some old goldmining tunnels. in the afternoon we went street lugeing down custom built tracks (awsume) before heading out for a traditional mauri evening consisting of native dance,song and food. sounds rubbish but was actually really cool and we got to see the hakka. spent the evening playing drinking games
