On the way out of Rotorua we went to see the geothermal reserve and we saw the mud pools and then the guys learnt the Haka (very funny) and the girls learnt a dance, not as funny as the Haka!!! Then onto see some rabbit shearing, so funny, the funniest thing ive seen in a long time, have a look at the pics. On a new bus, nice bunch of people, when we got to waitomo we stayed in a Cabin type place in the middle of nowhere, played touch rugby in the afternoon and then a bbq in the evening, lots of drinking games and then onto curlys bar the only bar in the village. Left late afternoon onto Taupo, stopped at huka falls on the way. Ash was gonna do his sky dive in the afternoon but weather was really bad so no one could do anything, we waited around all the next day while the skydive kept being put back and eventually they said the weather was to cloudy. so a waste of a day really. Got annoyed so went to the bar and then on for a curry. Not as good as the Dip!!!! Left Taupo the next day and on the way we stopped at MT Doom (scene of lord of the rings) and then did a walk in Tongariro national park to see taranaki falls. Arrived at River Valley, again in the middle of nowhere really nice had its own little river (Freezing though) Stayed in the bar at the hostel that night, learnt some new funny games, like the nail game and the table game!!!! In the morning ash played golf on the smallest 9 hole course in the world that had sheep running across it. we left at midday headed for wellington to where we are now in the pouring rain. we visited the national museum called te papa. also changed our flight from christchurch to melbourne, australia from the 5th may to the 16th april as we decided we want more time going up the east coast of OZ in the sun! we fly to the south island tomorrow morning on the smallest plane ever. We will take a pic for you see it. flight is only 20mins but apparantly very scenic!! Left our Kiwi bus driver and getting a new one in the morning, just hope he is just as mad. ciao xx
