Didn't realise just how close everything is to our hotel! We woke up and went for breakfast at a cafe down the road and then walked to the biggest market in Saigon to see what they had and it was massive! It went on and on so we had a little look about and got some bits and left before we broke our daily budget! Then we walked around to the war museum, it was $15 to get in which seemed a bit mad but just as we got there and were looking around at all the planes outside and tanks a massive tropical storm hit and everyone ran inside the building so we just followed and hoped no one asked for a ticket (luckily they didn't!) then we spent ages looking around at all the photos and posters. There was a section all about Agent Orange, the disorder affecting the people of Vietnam due to the chemicals dropped by the Americas which was really interesting to see how a group of children all live together with a man that adopts them, once we for back I googled it and have decided I want to come back and volunteer there because it looks so amazing. After the rain passed we headed back to the hotel to swim and cool down and then headed out for dinner. We made a massive mistake with dinner and didn't go to an amazing looking buffet that was $15 per person and instead went to some small restaurant and had a set meal for $10 but it left us both feeling awful and tasted like crap. The only nice thing was need cooked in a coco nut and even that was a bit dodge. But we stopped at a corner shop and got some Oreos as a treat. Had a nice little surprise Facetiming Josh and got to speak to Great Raymondo! Nice to know home is still cold and wet! 36 degrees here!
