Where to start...well this was deffo one of the best weeks of our trip (i know we probably say that all the time lol) but anyway, we got up from Byron and had a treck around for a hostel, and after a bit of a farse we ended up in one 5 mins away from the beach and all the clubs, shops etc. All 7 of us were in a 20 bed dorm and we kicked off with a game of footy in there which phil mitchel who worked on reception wasn't too happy about.

Anyway, we headed straight to the beach to check it out and although the sun was sort of going down we continued our game on the beach with nick who came over from his crib which was about 10 minutes away in the car! I'm not really sure what we did on what day cause this blog is being written way after we left surfer's but the next day adam, rick and alex left to go to another hostel because it was cheaper. Most days were spent at the beach, the beach at surfer's is proper mint. Ryan, Al, Ben and Luke went for a walk right along the beach which seemed to be endless, it went on for ages and we all realised that we were pretty much 'livin' the dream' (that should be funny if you've seen wedding crashers). But seriously we had a moment and everything was just like 'this is ace'!!

We spent most days going to the beach, drinking boost smoothies and chilling out. On the saturday night we bought tickets for a pub crawl where they say you get free drinks free shots free everything basically. However, we realised straight away we had been ripped off cause the free drinks were little fruit salad rip off shots and all the bars were dead too lol - probably because we started to the crawl at half 5. Towards the end of the night it did get pretty good though and we were all very merry - good night all in all :)

After around 3 or 4 days Alex, Adam and Rick decided to find work in order to fund their travels so they went up to Brisbane where we would later hook up with them. Us lot decided to stay in Surfer's for a little longer as we had enjoyed the place so far and we wanted to stay with Nick for a bit. We had heard that Tuesday was student night so we decided to have a night out but unfortunately it wasn't student night so we had to go to a strip bar, everywhere else was closed. The best part of the night was just chilling with beers before we went out at Nick's. We all decided to jump in his pool too and then throw Ben in lol ;) it was proper freezing but well worth it! After that, we all sat on the balcony played guitar, drunk more beers and just took it all in :) was a good night on the whole.

We also went up to Coolangatta which is like a half hour bus ride down the coast, it's much quieter and smaller but was a good place to see and just have a wonder about. We then went for a ride in nicks car up the hills and took a few photo's of the views and i'm not sure if it was the same day but we had a BBQ at nick's house too! On our last night in Surfer's we rounded it off with a trip to the cinemas and then we said our goodbye's to Nikki B! We'll all miss him and we had an ace few weeks with him and all the lads on the Gold Coast :)
