hello from Koh Pha-Ngan!!! sorry for the lack of journal entries!! have been majorly busy doing nothing except for lying on the beach all day!!! well we started our tour down to Singapore and left Bangkok on friday after a crazy nite out on thursday in a bar which is a petrol station by day!! it was such a relief to leave behind all the hustle, bustle and dirtyness of Bangkok and arrive here which is the complete opposite!! it was a mission getting here - had to get an overnight sleeper train which took about 10hours, but was the coolest experience!! the seats folded down into bunk beds and you had curtains to divide you from everyone else, although we were very dissapointed that there wasnt a disco carriage attached to this particular train!!! after the train we had a two and a half hour ferry ride, and then a very bumpy journey in a pick up truck!! but it was all worth it once we got here!!! on saturday nite we went to the famous full moon party, which was definately an experience!!! we were drinking buckets of thai whiskey, red bull and coke, which you could say made us slightly tipsy!!! :o we didnt get home till around 5.30am and so were very tired the next day. but we couldnt resist dragging ourselves out of bed as its so beautiful here. so we lounged around before deciding to hire out kayaks for 2 hours. well.....that was a mission and a half!!! lets just say we were never meant to become rowers!! we ended up going round and round in circles for about 10mins before we got the hang of it!! then we had yet anotehr brainwave and decided to kayak over to another beach which took much longer than expected!! when we got there the whole beach was covered in crabs and jellyfish and so we got scared and decided to go straight back!!! today has been pretty much the same, working on our tans!!! we ventured into the 'town' but there wasnt much to see!! tonight we're going for a bbq on the beach and then to a jungle party in a bar in town! will update you again tommorrow as we're off to have a thai massage now!!!
