Got into Dublin yesterday and immediately went out to an Irish pub with a group of people from the hostel! They are from all parts of the world, most of them working here temporarily. They were very friendly and made even me feel comfortable around them. There was a live Irish band playing at the pub too. So I ended up getting up a little late... so didn't get to see as much today, but I did get to see Trinity College, Book of Kells, and Kilamenhan Gaol(the main Irish jail). The book of Kells is amazing, the amount of detail and craftmanship is really impressive for the time that it was made. The jail was very cold and dark, but a great history lesson. I went out again tonight with people from the hostel, but am already back because I have such an early flight tomorrow. We went to a Russian bar that they called the 'worst bar in Dublin' with some of the weirdest and scariest looking people I've seen in a while. Some of the people dressed in funny costumes and there was karyoki, which of course I wanted nothting to do with=) But it was fun. Oh, and some guy accused me of stealing his Guiness!
