A great day in Quebec. Tour in morning, wandering the streets in arvi. Just did the laundry. Found a laundrette, put the washing in, found a pub. Went back, put the washing in the dryer, found the next pub. Went back, collected and folded and found a third watering hole on the way home. We love laundering in Quebec!!

Quebec City is just so full of wonderful historic buildings. We had a tour of Quebec City , walking the wonderful old streets with a very entertaining tour guide. In the background is the "Frontenac" hotel. An iconic place, and one where you need to go and have a drink and look at the scenery, just like having a gin and tonic in Raffles , Singapore, only with a far, far better view.So Kathy and I went in and had a drink.... a Starbucks coffee from the coffee shop...

After a tour of Montreal we drove to Quebec City. What a lovely old place. Only got the chance to explore a little this afternoon and evening, but just lovely old streets, shops and buildings. Dinner was in a revolving Restaurant in the Hotel Concord overlooking the city; just beautiful. Not unlike Mont St Michel Streets, which makes sense given the French origins. Check out the name of this shop. Look closely! We think it was a perfumery???

Travelled to Ottawa from Toronto, via Kingston and scenic route along St Lawrence seaway and 1000 Islands. There are apparently 1800 Islands in the river, and people put holiday houses on them, some of them really small, hardly big enough and only fit a house and maybe a tree. Look closely at the street sign. This is the big shopping street in Montreal. Quite fitting for Kathy and hectic as..... But we didn't really get time to stroll down this part of town. It was Saturday and people everywhere. Montreal is a lovely, lively place; old and new sections with some magnificent cathedrals.
