Travelled to Ottawa from Toronto, via Kingston and scenic route along St Lawrence seaway and 1000 Islands. There are apparently 1800 Islands in the river, and people put holiday houses on them, some of them really small, hardly big enough and only fit a house and maybe a tree. Kathy loved them and would have one if she could!
In the evening we wondered around Ottawa, enjoyed a lovely dinner at a sidewalk restaurant and then saw a great laser show, projected onto the Parliament building. It went for 30 minutes and told the history of Canada, portrayed significant events, and outlined national goals. Quite inspiring.
