We hired bikes, rode around Central Park then along 106th St to the Hudson River. They have bikeways most of the way around Manhattan. The picture was taken as I was riding along the Hudson. Tried to do this a couple on times and only nearly crashed once. It's a bit tricky getting both in the photo, as we cycled along a path with pedestrians and cyclists. Thank you all for the comments you have been posting. After our big walk back from Chinatown and Greenwich Village we sat at this Irish pub (there is no shortage of these establishments) and we worked out how to read your comments more easily on our phones. So thank you all, it has only taken us 6 weeks to work out how to do this. Loved reading them, and it made us miss you and your senses of humor!!!!!!!

Walk down to Greenwich Village ( got some more "shoeveniers" from Bloomingdales), Chinatown and Soho..... along 7th Av and back along Broadway. It's quite a hike so we had to find a few watering holes along the way. The picture is a bit dark, but you get the idea.

Went to see Rock of Ages. A bit of 80s nostalgia, rock and fun!

Heading into New York, 3 o clock in the afternoon. Traffic is amazing as we drive in through Queens on way to airport. Even worse than Brisbane when really congested, but not quite as chaotic as Cairo! They tell us getting to JFK , la Guardia and Newark airports is a nightmare any time. With added security and traffic the advice is to get there 3 hours before!!!!
