Day-5, woke up sorted our things out and had a while till the train so the staff said we could stay, which ended up very usefull!!! Afta grabbing lunch we came back to the hotel where the heavens opened very wide with thunderstorms and lightnin' so the hotel ended up givin us a lift to the train station, (stoppin to get me green tea as my stomach was in a bad way), the water was about2ft high in 2o minutes!! anyways got on the train and left for chang mai!!

Day-6- arrived at trainstation afta no sleep as D wouldn't sleep on the top or bottom bunk by herself!! (played transformer top trumps). Took to our hotel where we dropped our stuff at and then headed towards the city to check out the sites!! Ended up talkin D into gettin an hour thai-massage for 2 quid. Grabbed sum dinner and headed towards the hotel. Met Christine (German) and Aura (french) who we went to the night market with, anthony picked up some size 16 flip flops. Grabbed dinner and headed back

Day-7- Left at 9.30 for the jungle tour. 1st stop we went to the elephant sanctuary where we got a ride and a few photo's....D was very excited. Next was an 1hour trek to a waterfall ( see pics) no1 said it would be that steep up a bloody hill!!! 1 hour more and ended up at the tribes village where we stayed had dinner, few jokes and laughs where voddie and dong (tour guides) taught us a few games includin 007 (see pics) and headed to bed (floor and mosquito net), sounds where an experience and took alot of gettin use to!!

Day- 8- up early and set off for an hour up hill trek to another waterall, where dong (tour guide) showed us how to slide down the rocks as if it where a slide ( d's grazes say otherwise). Dried off and heade for another 45 minute walk to another village where we had lunch/sleep. another 20 minute walk ( which included anthony breaking the wooden stick to cross the river/resulting in wet foot) and we arrived at our place of sleep. Another tribe and 5 star accomodation, but an excellent water fall where dong proceeded to show us how to jump in with out hittin the rock (still don't think he understnads height measurements). Cooked dinner, more laughs and drink and back to bed!!! ( with frogs)

Day 9- up early for breakfast and headed on our 2 hour trek up and down up n down. Got to the car had lunch and went bamboo raftin!! Wasn't lookin forward to this as we were told the river was pretty low but was enjoyable. Got soaked by locals who must of thought we were the main attraction as they were snappin away and bringing the kids to say hello!! Back to the hotel, for a shower and a kip, lasted 8 days without an english pub, but gave in 2 nite, had my first full pint and cheeseburger wit chips whilst d had fish,chips n peas. Leave tommorow at 4.30pm and arrive in bangkok tuesday where we then head off to the islands..........chaing mai best place so far.
