126- Up and ready by 8.30am for a 9 am pick up we soon realized that the argentinians did not think much of time keeping even when running a business. After waiting for an hour and a bit we headed off on a 45 minute ride to mendoza river. At arrival we suited up in the wet suits we love sooooo much and headed further down the river to rapids accompanied with an american guy and his daughter. The guide spoke pretty good english, and gave us the safety talk, whilst convincing D less and less as he went on that it's safe to go rafting in a river where he has done it hundreds of times. In the raft we where soon to discover that the water was FREEZing, and after 5 minutes of paddling our fingers and hands were numb!!, hitting a few good rapids, and dodging/ getting stuck on a couple of booulders we had an excellent time and would definatley do it again. Off to get dried we headed back to the hostel, but not by minibus, courtesy of the company buying us a ride on a local bus with all the locals, was a little longer than the last trip but still good. Headed out for dinner that night in search of the STEAK with no preval but still a good meal.
127- Talking to a few argentine guys that where staying at the hostel, the universal language of football came out which was again met by the language barrier. After a game of table tennis with one of the guys ( I won) we headed out to sort the bus to buenos Aires. That night we headed to a small market where we got our charactertures done, intersting portraits, and off to bed as we had to grab an overnight bus to BA.
128- After a walk round town we headed to the bus stop, and jumped on what would be our luxury bus. Seats that turned into beds, own TV's and a stewardess, accompanied with a steak and mash dinner, sublime!! Very easy to sleep, and even more legroom than last time, we could get used to this!!!
