- Arriving in a very fast paced argentina we finally found a city (other than bangkok) which seemed to have a bit of something to it. Into the taxi, which took us to the hostel we were weaving in and out of buses that we are still wondering how he managed to fit through. Arrived at the hostel, bags down and off to get a feel of the area for the day. Back at the hostel we soon found out who we were sharing with.....3 grannies from brazil!! They also turned out to be snorers, the worst perhaps we have ever heard. Not a good nights sleep!!
- With the granny{s gone we stayed in bed a bit longer, and grabbed some breakfast before we headed out for another look round. Back to the hostel and we had new room mates, jack and james from Bristol. We all soon decided that it would be a good idea to go on the pub crawl which we soon signed up for, and were out the door by 9pm to get in our free drink and slice of pizza. After arriving at the place we soon asked if anyone else was coming, to which turned out to be no. So they gave us our money back, but still took us to the next pub, where we got a free shot. 2 other guys from our hostel (Benn and Anthony) showed up, where we introduced them to jagger bombs who then inturn introduced them to bed (lightweights) after a few hours and alot of drinks it was back to the hostel, a good night.
- after the antics of the night before, no one was in the mood for anything, so a dvd marthon was had!! (as my boca tour got cancelled)
- After missing out on the boca tour, Jack and James convinced me to go to the game that evening. So during the day we went for lunch and a look round a few shops, as we had got lost trying to look for plaza de mayo!! Time for the boca game and D stayed and spoke to Dan the 40 odd alaskan who could draw maps from memory, pretty impressive!! But im asecure and trusting boyfriend. (had to put that in). On the bus to get the tickets, the one and only Diego marradonna stepped on the bus, the bus went silent and mystified....turned out to be a bloody good look0a0likey (not like the david beckham 1 back home). Onto the stadium, where it was old skool with no seats in our bit and the away fans above us, but thankfully we were shielded from them ( they later started urinating on the boca fans, who retaliated by firing fireworks) The atmosphere was amazing, fireworks flares, singing the lot, aswel as a bunch of boca fans insisting that I looked alot like thierry henry, and were soon shouting it out.errr the game, It was their version of the charity shield Boca (cup winners) Vs Arsenal Other cup winners, and no people not the arsenal from england. The football was pretty poor, but there was 4 goals and 2 sending offs!! Good night had and boca won the cup, glad i went!!
-Time for a bit of sight seeing, and also said chow to jack and james as they were off. So we went and saw Evitas pink house, and the plaza de mayo, where all the political protestes happen, and we managed to catch where mothers who gather to ask if anyone has seen there missing sons. An exhausting day time for food.
- As our hostel was full we headed to our next place in BA. Checked in and it was alot smaller than our last hostel, bags down and showered up we met our new roomie Dan, who came out for lunch with us. After looking round BA with him and grabbing a few pics at the resting place of evita we decided we'd get drunk seeing as it was a friday night. Few drinks had and a few truths came out from our new friend, americans and drinks should not go together. Anyway good night had
- Sorted out the bus to salta, and watched a dvd. Also sored out emails, general catch up, and chilled with Dan and the Mexican guy in our room.
- Leaving for salt on a 20 hour overnight ride that evening. Arrived at the bus stop where the bus was late by 15 minutes which had D pacing up and down staring at the arrival/destination board. On the bus a few movies, stops for food and before we knew it in salta
