We spent an entire day getting all the way from Gili Trawangan to Bali, with two buses and two boat trips starting at 7am. It was relatively painless (except for the sunburn!) and only cost about GBP20 compared to the fast boat which would have been about GBP100 but only took two hours.

When we got to Kuta, we walked around in the dark for a bit trying to get somewhere cheap to stay but there was no room at the inn's! In the end, we took at room at the secret garden hotel for GBP25 per night which had a swimming pool, air con, hot water, a tv and all of the things we've come to appreciate over the last few months!

It was amazing how different Kuta seemed when you've had a good nights sleep and the place doesn't smell like off!

There were plenty of surfers around and we watched them for a while on some of the biggest waves you've ever seen! We spent the next few days reading, walking around, shopping and looking forward to Singapore and Australia! Yippee
