Got up, got ready, checked out and we all got to the train station for 8am. When we got the tickets they told us the train was late by 40 minutes so we sat in a cafe and waited! When the train finally came we had to run to it anyway!
Got the 2 hour train to Atchoco which is where Andi's parents are from and he has invites us to stay with them! How amazing is that! Andi and his family are Muslims so I was looking forward to seeing the differences!
As soon as we arrived it was clear we were the only western people. We didn't see one for the whole day 2 days! We loved it and wouldn't have it any other way! Got a taxi to Andi's house, he lives in a small village.
Met Andi's mum and then he walked us around his village showing us his old nursary and primary school!
Caught a taxi and went to Baturaden Hill which is an understatement! It's a mountain! We didn't know before we went as well so walking through the jungle in flip flops wasn't great! Baturaden has hot springs and hot spring pools all the way up though! Hot is an understatement as well, boiling hot so sometimes you couldn't touch them!
After trekking up the mountain we waited for a taxi to pick us up! Talked to Alex and Andi about travelling and that we want to travel South America next!
The taxi dropped us off at a shopping centre at the nearest town! Ate local noodles with a strawberry shake with orange jelly cubes in! Strange but good!
Went to get Andi's aunty some local cakes, they are made infront of you and look like giant crumpets! You have all sorts of strange things you can put on them including, chocolate, cheese, beef, chicken, peanut etc etc.
Went back to Andi's, gave the cakes to his aunty and cousin then went to the back of Andi's house. the locals have built a badminton court here using bamboo as guidelines! The smaller children here laughed and pointed or looked scared of us as they had never seen anyone white. So we had pictures with everyone.
Got forced to play badminton with about 30 boys watching us (girls stay inside) and with more coming every minute as news spread fast!
Andi's mum cooked us Andi's favourite Indonesian door which was lots of vegetables, tofu, rice and spices! Since meeting Andi we have to eat every single grain of rice as is sacred for Muslims. If we are full you have I leave anything else but eat the rice of come back to it later! Ate with our hands!
Me and Michael wanted to stay in his village but Andi said it was to boring so we drove all the way to the nearest kareoke! Me and michael had not embarrassment with kareoke now, we are Asian at heart! We are aweful and don't care! I'll give you a song when I'm home! ;)
Drove back to Andi's at 2.30, we all shared the same room but I had to sleep on the bed and the boys on the floor as I am the girl! I'm not complaining!!! Have to get up early AGAIN tomorrow though!
