Hey Peeps,

Happy New Year to you all. Hope you all saw the New Year in with a bang.

Have been here nearly a week now and it is going so slowly...which is a good thing. Having an excellent time here. Am currently in Chaweng in Koh Samui after being on the first ferry this morning from Koh Pangan. We came through heavy rain and my god i dont know how we weren't all outside being sick....The worse crossing ive ever experienced. Am here till 5th jan and then moving to Malaysia. )earlier than expected...but so much to see and do in malaysia.)

New Year was VERY crazy...partying from 7 till 7!! Never seen anything like it 10,000+ people on one beach......there was no being a lady that night....the sea was the loo ....so up we hoisted our dresses....bikini bottoms pulled to one side and squated!!...never ever again!! Trust me the sea was the safest place to not catch anything....the toilets, which you had to pay for, made me heave!! I dont know what they spent the 10 baht on because it wasnt cleaning them.

Plans didnt take off at the start and i was left in Bangkok alone. After 24 hours of travelling i was tearful and thought what the hell am i doing doubts started to set in but was soon reassured when i got a hotel for the night at Bangkok airport and met a travelling buddy called Apple. Not knowing this girl from Adam she asked if i wanted to share a room...i was a little apprehensive but agreed as we were both getting up at 3.30am to try and get on the standby list for a flight to Samui. We got to our room showered and settled down to chat, eat and find out all about each other....great experience and she has invited us to go and visit her on our travels in Singapore. Really lovely girl....!

So there i was up and showered at 3.30 to get in the queue for the standby list for a flight as my flight wasnt meant to be till 9pm that evening. Every hour there was a call and finally at 9am...my name was called...woo hoo there i was running for the gate with 15mins to spare. I arrived safely at Samui airport.....but my luggage didnt!! There again my name was being called out....this thai lady said Anna we are sorry your baggage is delayed and will not be in until 11.45!! Anyway eventually it arrived and they took me to the port to get a boat to Koh pangan where Vikki was waiting for me at Bottle Beach Resort to start our travels together.

This place was amazing...in the middle of a rain forest on the beach....a real paradise resort with hardly anything to do...except chill.....just what i needed to do after my first few days. You'll be impressed people...only washed my hair once so far and my straightners were use on the night of the full moon party. I haven't seen anything really horrible creepy crawly wise ...yet!!!! There's still time for that!! There was an animal in our room last night...either a bat or something bigger..... in the middle of the night there was Vikki and I sweating not wanting to move to investigate...eventually i jumped up turned the light on...and nothing...this anilmal stopped moving...turned the light off got back in bed and it started again and so it went on!! Eventually i jumped into Vikki's bed and we covered ourselves with the mossie net....alas we finally got some sleep.. still do not know what it was...thank god we have left there....at least we will get some sleep tonight!

Not much else to write so will update this again soon!! Missing you all lots, hope everyone is well and thank you to all those who have sent me some lovely messages.
