Hey...well i know its been a while ...sorry for that but i've just been having too much fun..can you blame me?
Right where did i leave you all...Malaysia....12th january we got up early and headed for Kuala Lumpur...finally arrived after another coach journey ....Dropped at the bus station and now it was another mission to try and find accommodation..and it was a mission...after the long walk round with our ruck sacks we finally found a hotel near BB plaza...perfect we thought we have 3 shopping centres and Nando's what else could 3 tired girls wish for! So we unapcked some things and off we went to explore the city!
The next day we got up at 6am to queue for sky bridge tickets to go up in the twin towers. The tickets are free so basically you just have to queue and hope that your lucky to get in! Anyway getting up so early did us a favour and we were about 15 from the front and when the ticket desk opened at 8.30..bang we walked straight through to board the massive lift! These towers and the views were something else...we took pictures and headed back down to ground level where i felt more comfortable! Lol! From there we walked to the KL tower, this you had to pay for but we had to do it! We went up and saw the sites and views. Also they had a animal section where we saw Snakes, spiders, monkeys, rabbits etc etc! In the evening we decided we deserved a treat after some long busy days and nights so we went to chilli's for dinner and then to the cinema to watch 4 christmas's. A great day had by all!
On the 14th Jan we left KL for Melaka (yet another coach journey) which thank you to the sickness tablets i slept the whole way!! Arrived at a hotel we had made a reservation for, dumped our bags and guess what...headed off for a city tour and for lunch! We went shopping, to the Church and Clock tower, Mill, walked along the river had lunch and then went for a lovely hour long facial...see we officially flash packers not back packers!! Once we had our facials we went and explored China town and Little India, before heading to another shopping centre. Melaka is a pretty town but not much to do or see...although i did see a Tokio Marine building, so thankfully we were only there for one night!
Well thats it for Malaysia......one week and it flew by!! It certainly was an experience and met some great friendly people here. So glad we went! All in all a great place to see if you go travelling...minus the bed bugs and travel sickness it was awesome!! xx
